Vacation 2010: A Day Away

We didn't go too far from Gma & Gpa's house but one day we did venture out to visit the windmill in Fulton and Eagle Point Park (a childhood favorite). We battled with isolated thunderstorms and rain showers almost everyday so when this day dawned bright and clear we knew we had to make the most of it.

This windmill sits right on the Mississippi River so we were able to walk right out to the levy/walking path - it was beautiful and picturesque.

Hmmm? Caption ideas?

The "castle" at Eagle Point Park (I have wonderful memories of picnics/playdates in this park when I was growing up!!!):
View from the top of the castle. (I didn't stay long; I've developed a fear of heights since becoming a mother!):
After playing on the playset we dipped our toes in the stream/fountain and headed home for naps!
