Home Again, Home Again

Well, we are home safe and sound. And it is good to be here. Vacations are wonderful but we are happy to be in our own beds - and all the toys around here seem to be brand new:-) My dad was able to pop in for a quick visit during a business trip. So we enjoyed having him here - it made the transition nice since the kids were so used to having people around.

We went to the beach today! It was a beautiful day. The kids loved the water and sand.

Andrew couldn't wait for us to leave.

DISNEYLAND

Wow, am I tired:-) Yesterday we got up early to go to Disneyland. We spent the WHOLE DAY in the park - riding rides, seeing parades, and battling the crowds. It was busy (surprise, surprise) but the weather was quite nice and we enjoyed an amazing time. Anika loved "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride", "It's a Small World", "The Tiki Hut", and the train. But meeting Mickey was the highlight of the day. We went on a number of other rides here and there too. She loved the parade, but she was pretty much beat by the time we watched Mickey's "Fantasmic" show at 9:30pm. I'm not sure my kids have ever been that tired!

I have a few more pictures of the wedding day from Uncle John! He got a few great ones of the kids -- by the way, Anika and Nathaniel did a wonderful job as ring bearer and flower girl. They had no qualms about walking up the aisle. They sat well for the ceremony (with the help of a baby-sitter) and then walked back down.

Wedding Day

Although I don't have a lot of pictures, it was a beautiful wedding. The day went flawlessly - beautiful weather, beautiful ceremony, beautiful bride. (And if I do say so myself, beautiful flower girl:-))

Anika was so excited to practice being a flower girl! She did a wonderful job holding on to Nathaniel's hand (her 2 1/2 year old cousin) and walking down the aisle. She also joined us for the dinner at Pomona Valley Mining Company. Aunt Rachel had a special flower girl present - toy wand, tiara, necklace, and more. . . Then she and Uncle John got silly! (That's why she calls him "Silly John".) What FUN!
