Mountain get-away

Lloyd spent a week in the mountains doing advance sermon planning with his colleague. The kids and I were able to join him over the weekend. Our "cabin" (read: gorgeous house) was right on the Naches river. The warm weather had started an early thaw to the snow pack and caused some flooding. We were safe but the river was moving REALLY fast. It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend.

Andrew with his fingers

Like his sister before him, Andrew prefers to suck on his hands rather than a pacifier. Unlike Anika (the thumb sucker), he likes his fingers -- his middle fingers to be exact.

Building a wall

Our backyard slants precariously into our neighbors' so we are building a retaining wall. Eventually this spot will have a playset, hence the dead grass -- hopefully, this will be a big draw for neighborhood and church kids. Of course, Lloyd day off was a record-tying 93 degrees on May 15.

Mommy's Day

My kiddos gave me flowers for Mother's Day. Wow, Dad better not let them get ahold of the credit card again:-)

Giggling Andrew

Andrew giggles while sporting his new duds from Nana. Our Big Kahuna!

Liking this

Hey, I'm really liking this blog thing. I used to wait f-o-r-e-v-e-r to update our webpage but this is really slick. Ok, ok I can hear many of you saying "I told you so" and I recognize that it is warranted in this case. But, isn't it nice to be right:-)

(Fairly) Recent Family Pic

Here is the family at Easter. (Sorry, I'm posting older pictures but I have to start somewhere, right?)

Easter pictures of Anika. She loves the camera!

New Blankie

Andrew just loves his new blanket from Nana.

Four Months

At 4 months, Andrew continues to delight and amaze us.
