Jelly Belly Fun

Anika had Monday off of school this week so Daddy re-arranged his schedule so we could have a family day! We enjoyed a day trip to the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield. What fun! The day started with going out to breakfast -- you can't beat choco chip pancakes or strawberry-almond waffles. Then we drove to the mecca of Jelly Bellies. The factory tour is free and we were able to enjoy some great samples -- we are now fans of Mixed Berry Smoothie and 7-Up. Then we browsed through the store with its mind boggling array of flavors. We had fun purchasing some "belly flops" (irregular beans) for Anika to take for show & tell this week. After this sugar high, we walked off some energy at the Vacaville Factory Outlets getting new shoes for these fast growing kiddos. What a great day!

The jelly bean loving president made of jelly bellies. (Then Gov. Reagan got started on his jelly bean addiction while trying to break himself from his pipe tobacco addiction. Jelly Bellies made some astronomical sum of beans to send to his inaugration.)

Attired in our "lovely" paper hats for the tour. (There were no cameras allowed on the tour.):
