Red Ribbon Week
Anika's school celebrated Red Ribbon Week - Drug Awareness - this week. Each day was a different theme for dressing up. We didn't do much at the beginning of the week and I forgot a picture on Weds. but here is Thurs. & Fri. Crazy blue/yellow (school colors) and Decades (dress from the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc.)

Pumpkin Patch
Pumpkin Patch - yee-haw! Anika had a 1/2 day of school last Friday so we took advantage of the time to see our favorite pumpkin patch - Dutch Hollow Farms. The kids loved the corn pit, "tampoline", hay ride, haystack pyramids, tractor tires, oh -- and of course, the PUMPKINS! Another great experience on a cool, low 70ish, overcast day. (If we had gone a week earlier, it would have been 90 degrees. I'm so glad fall has finally arrived!) Corn angels:

Family Fun!
October rolls around and we get to experience another wonderful time at Family Fun Works! Each year they invite local pastors and their families to enjoy a free day of go-karts, bumper boats, playplace, and more. Last year we were rained out so the kids were so excited to experience the go-karts again. I had planned to get great pictures but the wait was long and I had Kat and Drew to entertain so we went and hung out at the huge play structure while Daddy & Anika went. Then Drew and I had our turn while Daddy & Anika played with Kat. Andrew was much braver this year. Waiting to see Anika & Daddy, then we gave up and went inside to play!
