A Piano Recital

This post is mostly for the Grandparents who will delight in seeing their grandchildren do just about anything;-) Anika had her first piano recital last night. She was so very excited -- she has come a long way in two months of lessons, but it was also fun to watch the accomplished players and hear her say, "someday, that will be me!" And Drew asked when he could start lessons! A recital is great motivation!

Anika snapped this shot of Drew and Kat with Scout so I thought I would include it in this post, lest it become too Anika-focused:-)

Trunk or Treat!

Our new annual tradition is to take the kiddos to a few "trunk or treat" events at local churches. It is always fun to dress-up and then admire all the work that people put into decorating their cars, trucks, or bikes. We had lots of fun, as usual, and Lloyd was even able to come along -- his first big outting since his surgery. In spite of a last minute crisis (I complete lost Kat's eyeore costume), we made some changes and still enjoyed the night.

My kiddos: Princess Leia, Cowboy Drew, and pouty Cinderella Still pouting. . .

Anika found some friends:
