Pure Cheese!

Dad had fun snapping some big grin pics of the kids!

Cinder-man

Start 'em young - that's the motto in the Wicker household. LOL!

Playing Games

Anika received a number of games for Christmas/Birthday gifts. Her current fav is "Hungry, Hungry Hippos" (She always has to be the pink one!) I got a kick out of our dog, Scout, who seemed to want to be in on the action. (Until we actually started gobbling the marbles - then she took off like a shot. She wasn't too fond of the noise.)

Peek A Boo

Andrew has been so much fun lately as he has discovered "peek a boo". Of course, his favorite time to play is during dinner time when his hands are covered with food. We've been washing hair quite frequently around here:-) The little stinker is always peeking though. You can catch a glimpse of his eye almost every time.

Big sister had to get in on the action too:-)

A Few More

Here are the grandkids in their pj's. The Koontz family gave Anika and Andrew new pj's . Anika loved her new princess nightgown and the boys looked so cute in their matching footie jams.

Uncle John schools Anika in the art of "the big hug"!

Firehouse Fun

Nathaniel is a fan of fire engines so Uncle Lloyd pulled a few strings and got us a tour of the station. What fun!

Lloyd and his sister, Christine, with their kiddos:-)
Andrew just about flooded the fire station. (Maybe Mommy should be more vigilant instead of snapping pictures!)

Playin' Around

It actually warmed up enough for us to play out on the playset for awhile. It isn't spring yet but we are anxiously waiting for it!

Anika & Auntie Christine

Aunt Christine was a big hit this week. Doing hair and nails, bringing Christmas presents, providing fun new snacks. . . Anika couldn't get enough!

Koontz visit

Well it has been awhile since I posted because we were enjoying a wonderful visit with Lloyd's sister, Christine, and her family. We had 4 kiddos under 3 years old but it was fun! Anika loved playing with her cousins. Nathaniel (2 yrs.) and Simon (7 months).

Lloyd's Birthday

We celebrated Lloyd's birthday with a little bit of cake. Anika had to help Daddy blow out his candles.

One Dimensional Anika

More fun with butcher paper:-) We had fun recreating Anika today.

Fire Fighter

Lloyd had an intense medical call recently and so yesterday he was organizing his turn-out gear. Lloyd doesn't usually bring his stuff inside so Anika had never really seen daddy's stuff. Needless to say, she was curious and needed a demonstration - and then a hands-on lesson:-)
Chaplain Anika got a big kick out of the helmet!

Playing Shapes

Of course, after a post like the previous one, I have to follow up with a wonderful moment of harmony as Anika taught Andrew about shapes. She had fun matching the shapes and then letting Andrew push them through the holes. "Yeah" for siblings -- for the moment:-)

Two Faces

What a picture of reality - if one is happy; the other isn't! I'm exaggerating, of course, but there is a grain of truth. Anika likes to pretend that she is a baby these days because she is jealous of how Andrew is treated. (Of course, if I tried to put her down for a morning nap or early bedtime she probably wouldn't like to be treated like Andrew:-), but there is very little reasoning with a three-year-old. )

Snack Time

I couldn't resist a few pictures of the kids right after nap time. Anika in particular, but Andrew also, is a slow waker. So when they wake up from their afternoon naps (usually within a few minute of each other), they settle on their couchs with their sippy cups and a snack - goldfish are pretty popular right now. It doesn't take long before Andrew rolls off the couch and heads for the toys.
